Nadeje Cafe @ Mahkota Parade, Malacca.

I suppose many will agree with me that Nadeje is one of the must-visit when it comes to Malacca, the Mille Crepe cakes found in Nadeje is so famous that every single foodie should at least heard of it. Nadeje was one of the first/pioneer when it comes to Mille Crepe Cake, established since the year 2006, Nadeje prides itself with their freshly hand made Mille Crepe. There are three outlets in total but due to its strategic location at Mahkota Parade (one of the largest shopping malls in Malacca), we've decided to pay them a visit here. The name- Mille Crepe cake has received its name from the French, meaning layering. It is not easy to make a Mille Crepe cake as one would have to spread cream layer over layer. I've actually tried Nadeje before few months back during my visit to Malacca, however, due to time constraint, we couldn't actually savor the cake in the restaurant and have opted to take away instead. The taste was a total disaster and differ from my experience this time. Hence, I would recommend my readers to dine in instead of take away as it affects the taste and the texture.

Nadeje Cafe offers a wide array of Mille Crepe cakes and some other desserts but be sure to be there earlier as some of the more famous ones tend to be running out of stock real soon. It was a bit tricky to find Nadeje at Mahkota Parade as its situated at a far corner of the mall. To find Nadeje, simply locate Bonia or the main entrance to Dataran Pahlawan, Nadeje should be somewhere nearby. Prices are a bit steep in Nadeje but its worth the try. They do offer some western dishes as well but my main aim is to blog about the Mille Crepe cakes here.

Cheese Crepe Cake (Rm 9) was one of the worst voted by all of us, in comparison with other flavors that we have chosen. It wasn't that bad but it doesn't stand out as compared to others, it tasted just like other ordinary Cheese Cakes which can be found elsewhere.

The Original Mille Crepe Cake (Rm 9) has won most of the votes for being the most delicious and tasty flavor. It was soft, moist, creamy but not sweet in its own way. Extra marks for the smoothness from the cream. Some of the girls were dying to have more of this, hence, we had to place an extra order for another piece. Highly recommended.

Nadeje's Double Chocolate Crepe Cake (Rm 9.50) is recommended to Chocolate lovers. The Chocolate flavor infused within was so strong that every single bite into the soft and creamy cake would fill you with the melted Chocolate. I guess girls would be annoyed of the love-hate relationship between the body figure and calories huh...

We had also tried their Green Tea Crepe Cake (Rm 9) which turns out to be unexpectedly good. The beautifully infused Matcha (Japanese Green Tea/ 抹茶) was a perfect match with the cream. Soft and creamy with a hint of Japanese Green Tea's aroma, a rather decent choice for those who prefer some more refreshing flavor.

Curiosity kills the cat, I was curious to find out the taste of some other desserts offer by Nadeje and one of them displayed on the counter was this Nama Raspberry Donut (Rm 7.50). Out of curiosity, I've decided to give it a try and here comes the nightmare, the Donut was made of some Raspberry cream and it was too sour to my liking. The texture was horrible either, as in swallowing bunch of sourish whipped cream. A total disappointment.
