"ALOHA~" A new dessert eatery has just opened in 1st Avenue Mall, Penang, offering some of their signature desserts, as well as some western foods. ALOHA House of Desserts is situated right beside Carefour on 4th floor. I'd had a quick recharge after having some of their icy cold desserts during a hot afternoon. Aloha offers a wide array of desserts at affordable prices and the best part was, everything stated on the menu is at their net price (no further charges). As for my visit, we had some of their desserts only and did not opt to go for their western food. My overall verdict: nothing too special but just an okay dessert outlet.
Lychee Gelatin Jelly (荔枝爱玉冰, Rm 5.80) comes with two small Lychees only and some shaved ice was covered below those "Ai Yu Bing". I find this dessert a bit bland where it would be much better if it brings a hint of sourness, with the agreeable sweetness infused within. Moreover, the "Ai Yu Bing" could have some improvements in terms of its texture.
We also had their Green Tea Snowflake (绿茶雪花冰) for Rm 7.80 which comes with four types of toppings, namely Herbal Jelly (凉粉), Red Beans, and some flavored Nata De Coco. Unlike some other dessert outlets, Aloha's snowflake comes in a more rough texture but the texture works perfectly fine for me! Nothing much to comment over the toppings, as for the snowflake itself, I would prefer it to possess a stronger Green Tea flavor as the flavor was rather mild. Other than that, everything was just fine.
