Love & Latte Cafe @ Love Lane, Georgetown, Penang.

Love and Latte is a new cafe at Love Lane that has affordable all-day-breakfast dishes on its menu. Step into the cafe and you will be greeted by the resplendent and colorful chairs, the air-conditioned cafe has a cozy ambiance that seems to be the perfect location for you to unwind during weekends. The service was certainly attentive and the staff was friendly. However, I would not make a special trip here but if you are in the vicinity and in need of a good place to wind down, this is a pleasant place to enjoy a cup of coffee and to rest your feet. The place may be a little inconspicuous and can be easily missed. You can find Love & Latte Cafe beside a small alley at Love Lane, facing Reggae Mansion.

Smoked Duck Breast and Egg with Pancakes (Rm 13) is definitely a worth-the-value order. It comes with three pieces of Pancakes, fluffy Scrambled Egg, two slices of Smoked Duck Breast with a side of fresh fruits and greens. We love the soft and airy Pancakes, the Scrambled Egg was equally great too and reasonably flavored with a Peppery kick. However, the portion of the Egg/ Duck Breast with the Pancakes seems to be inappropriately measured, and we were not too impressed with the measly Duck Breast either. The combination was okay but I would say Butter and Maple Syrup would probably work better with the Pancakes. Assuage your guilt with the refreshing and healthy sides, though I was a little confused with the diced Apples and Oranges; it turned out to be a good palate cleanser to neutralize the taste buds. Not bad but not mind-blowing.

San Marco (Rm 10.50) did not give me a strong impression, as though the flavor was a little subdued and ordinary. The cake was soft, moist with a nice caramelized top but we thought it was a little sweet and it feels like just an ordinary cake that can be found elsewhere.
