Auwawa Cafe @ Lim Lean Teng Road, Greenlane, Penang.

Amidst the serene neighborhood and somewhere relatively quieter from town, Auwawa is a newly opened Cafe right opposite to Han Chiang College. The cafe is definitely student-friendly, reason? It has simple and inexpensive menu with yummy snacks, homely and no-frills ambiance. However, this may not be an ideal place for those who wish to have a decent meal as Auwawa offers some Sandwiches only, with a few types of Cakes and their signature Potted Ice Cream. While this particular cafe may not have the perfect setting or menu but we thought this may be a decent place for you to grab a quick caffeine fix without needing to travel to the heart of Georgetown.

The signature sweet treat of Auwawa Cafe- Potted Ice Cream (Rm 9.80). It comes in 3 different layers: Pandan flavored Sponge Cake at the bottom, Vanilla Ice Cream in the middle (you may request for Chocolate Ice Cream) and aplenty sprinkles of crushed Chocolate Biscuits (Oreo). We would recommend this to be shared among a few friends as it may be too monotonous for one to finish it completely on his/her own. This dessert may not be new but it would be a picturesque (for your Instagram pleasure) order nevertheless.

Youngsters may find this Turkey Ham Ciabatta Sandwich with Fries (Rm 7.90, additional Rm 2 for Cheese and Scrambled Egg) appealing. The Ciabatta bread was somewhat too dry and hard to the bite, and the Scrambled Egg did not meet my expectation for it was overcooked and rough in texture. However, their home-made dipping sauce, Curry Mayo stands out in my opinion. It was creamy, savory with an agreeable amount of spiciness; uniquely Asian and the two of us enjoyed it to the brim (tho we did not like the Sandwich).
