Pizza lovers can now appease all Pizza cravings at this authentic Italian Pizza joint without putting a dent on the wallet. Situated right smack in town, Giffy Pizza is a newly opened Pizza joint manned by two friendly Italians. It can be really easy to miss the place though, Giffy can be found at the intersection between Penang Road and Burma Road, opposite to Loke Thye Kee. The snug and unpretentious Pizza joint takes in order either by walk-in or delivery. To dine in, traipse yourself up the steep flight of stairs and there will be a fully air-conditioned dining area with cozy setting awaits you. The menu is rather simple but we love the made-to-order service as the freshness is guaranteed.
Recommended by the staff, Queen Pizza (12 inches- Rm 25) was quite a delectable one. It consists of Tomatoes, Anchovies, Aubergines, Cheese and Olives. We love the addition of Anchovies which gives the Pizza a touch of Seafood essence but the uneven spread of Anchovies was a tad salty to the bite. Also, I would prefer the Pizza to have more Capsicum or thicker cut of Aubergines for the juicy crunch. The tawny crisp Pizza Base, on the other hand, was at the right thickness as requested. We did not want ours to be too thin or too thick; the Chef gets the idea and we were pleased with that. Do put a note on your preference on the Pizza Base (whether Thick or Thin).
A safer option would be Prince Pizza (12 inches- Rm 22)- Tomatoes, Chicken Sausages, Cheese and an Egg. One can easily taste the freshness of the Tomatoes sauce and the beautiful marriage between Cheese and Tomato while the Chicken Sausages provided a meaty bite. The Egg, however, had not done much in its aid though. I would probably request for additional Cheese for my next order (particularly for this order).
Tea served with Milk (Rm 2.50)
