**DRIP Cafe has since ceased its business operation.**
A new tenant at Prangin Terrace- named DRIP Cafe, an abbreviation of Diversity Re:boot Installation Project. The cafe adopts Japanese-Western influenced style, evidently seen from their small menu; featuring signature dishes like Corn Cream Pasta, Japanese Curry Rice and Mashed Potato with Cheese and Streaky Beef. These are all they have, for mains. Desserts were also introduced to us with aplomb, enthusiastically suggesting us to go for their Rare Cheese Cake and Lemon Yogurt. The place is clean and brightly lit, comfortable seating with ample space in between. On the second floor, there is a small area dedicated to live band performance, interested parties could have a look on their Facebook Page. A quiet, comfortable and pleasant cafe for you to spend your leisure afternoon or to satisfy your reading pleasure.
Rare Cheese Cake comes together with Green Tea in a set (Rm 10.90). A common combination in Japan, the Cheesecake was somewhat eccentric, it was not as Cheesy as I thought it would be. The texture was something akin to Jelly, chewy-soft instead of buttery-soft. However, the flavor was perfectly balanced, with a touch of saltiness from the biscuit base. Assuage your guilt by having a cup of Green Tea (it comes together with the Cheese Cake anyway), the acerbic tinge of Green Tea should be able to refresh the taste buds, making it light and easy on your palate. A perfect combination for your afternoon tea.
Weight watchers might wish to go for their Lemon Yogurt (Rm 8.50). It consists of Yogurt, Lemon Curd with some refreshing touch of Lemon Juice (with traces of Lemon pulp). The concoction was inevitably acidic and could be a little monotonous on its own, we thought it could be better with some sweeten Granola; for a more dimensional flavor and texture.
