Marlons +Co. The Coffee Bar @ Raja Uda, Butterworth, Penang.

Trending at Raja Uda now, Marlons +Co is a humble beginning by two young chap. The cafe enacted the industrial-interior decor- shipping container adorning the walls, metal web for compartment, wooden tables with iron chairs. Marlons +Co. is the only cafe that adapts and exudes the industrial vibe at Butterworth thus far. It has quite a wide array of Cakes and Pastries available but they only serve ONE type of main right now- All Day Glory Breakfast. One of the few cafes worth checking out at Butterworth. Marlons +Co is facing Curry Noodle House and a stone throw distance away from Coffee Venture on the same road.

All Day Glory Breakfast Set (Rm 23) is the only main available in the cafe. The immense portion of All Day Glory comes with Scrambled Egg, Pork Chorizo, Chicken and Cheese Sausage, Turkey Ham, Bacon, Focaccia Bread and some fresh Greens. The Scrambled Egg was nicely done (neither underdone nor overcooked), sans salinity but worked well with the smoky Bacon and Turkey Ham. Pork Chorizo was a little hard in texture but we enjoyed the Focaccia Bread. The magical spread of Cream Cheese onto the Focaccia Bread was beyond amazing. If I must comment, I would prefer them to reduce the meat and add in more healthy elements... say Mushrooms.

We ended the meal with a sweet note- Brownie with Ice Cream (Rm 10.90), the Brownie was moist and lightly sweetened but the real source of sweetness comes from the dollop of Ice Cream. It was a tad too sweet to our liking. The Brownie itself was okay, soft, moist, nutty spiced up with a delightful hint of Cinnamon. It would, however, make a contenting dessert to be shared by a few.
